This year, biology facilitator Dr. Steven Foldi has created a unique course at iLEAD North Hollywood called “Tropical Ecology”. Twenty juniors and seniors are working on a huge project. Their goal is to implement a community-based conservation initiative in Costa Rica that helps protect wildlife, habitats, and people from environmental destruction. As part of this initiative, learners are trying to raise $50,000 to travel to Costa Rica in April and another $50,000 to help local communities within Costa Rica.
If you are interested in helping, please send a check made out to Parents in Partnership to Steven Foldi at the iLEAD noho address. If you would prefer, you can donate online through our GoFundMe page. If you cannot donate, it would be great if you spread the word by sharing our website and Facebook page. Lastly, we are collecting any gently worn shoes, CDs, clothes, “prize” type items, or items you are willing to donate to our garage sale. Help us reach our goal, travel to Costa Rica, and help save the planet!
